Our Core Values

Pearland Implant Center is owned and operated by Michael R. Smith, DDS. Dr. Smith is passionate about dentistry, and created Accent Dental Group in order to provide a comprehensive and enjoyable patient experience. When you visit our offices, your dental health is our top priority!

Experts agree that most major issues can be prevented by routine oral care. Of course this means brushing and flossing on a daily basis. But it also means getting regular check-ups two to three times every year as well. Finding someone you can trust, and one that will understand your unique needs can go a long way toward eliminating your fears.

Your time is important and you deserve the best dentistry has to offer. We offer CEREC, a service that allows crowns and onlays to be done in one visit! Additionally, we pride ourselves in providing outstanding results for the following dental procedures: veneers, teeth whitening, smile design, sealants, tooth colored fillings, crowns, onlays, laser cavity detection, laser tissue therapy, periodontal therapy, complete and partial dentures, implants, root canals, and extractions. The Three Types of Dentures

A dental professional can make you one of three types of dentures depending on your situation: complete, immediate, or partial. A complete denture is used when all teeth either on the upper or lower arch have been lost. Partial dentures are used in situations where only some teeth on an arch are missing.

Full permanent denture

A full, permanent denture will be placed after the loss or extraction of teeth on an arch after the hard (bone) and soft (gum) tissue has had time to completely heal. You may also have options as to the type of permanent denture is best for you. You and your dentist will discuss what type of denture will be best for you.

Immediate denture

Immediate dentures are used for situations where all teeth on an arch are extracted and are delivered to you on the same day. Impressions will be taken prior to the appointment for the extractions and dentures are fabricated by a laboratory. Immediate dentures keep you from having to go without teeth while waiting for the tissues to heal and waiting for the permanent denture to be made.

Partial denture

Partial dentures are a little different from a complete denture. A partial denture is used when not all teeth on an arch are missing. Partial dentures are a removable option, just like a full denture, but are also an alternative to having implants placed. You doctor will discuss with you if a partial/partial denture is the right option for you.
